How waterproof is 10,000mm actually?
10,000mm is the point at which most outdoor activities and weather conditions are covered. It handles sustained moderate to heavy rain during hiking, cycling and commuting without leaking. For reference, light rain requires around 1,500mm, heavy rain around 5,000mm, and extreme conditions (prolonged downpour while moving) start pushing 15,000mm+. For the majority of Australian conditions, 10,000mm is more than sufficient.
Is it suitable for cycling commutes?
Yes. The stretch softshell allows full arm and shoulder rotation on the bike. The underarm vents manage the heat generated during a commute. The waterproof pockets keep phone and keys dry. The structured hood adjusts to fit over a cycling helmet. The 10,000g breathability means you arrive dryer than in a standard waterproof shell.
Does it work as a mid-layer under a ski jacket?
Yes. The slim softshell cut fits comfortably under a shell jacket and the stretch fabric allows layering without bulk. Used as a mid-layer the jacket adds warmth, wind protection and moisture management. As an outer layer it handles all ski resort conditions short of extreme alpine storms. Many customers use theirs for both functions across different seasons.
How do I re-proof the DWR coating after washing?
The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating is applied to the outer fabric surface. After machine washing, it can be refreshed by tumble drying on low heat for 20 minutes — the heat reactivates the DWR. After extended use, apply a wash-in or spray-on DWR treatment such as Nikwax TX.Direct, which restores full bead-off performance. The waterproof membrane remains functional regardless of DWR condition.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using a technical fabric cleaner (such as Nikwax Tech Wash) or a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener as it clogs the membrane. Tumble dry low to refresh the DWR coating. The membrane, seams and fabric maintain full performance through regular washing. Most customers wash theirs monthly with no degradation in waterproofing or breathability.

Processing time
Orders are normally processed and dispatched within 24 hours. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays may be processed on the next business day. During busy or promotional periods, processing may take longer.
Delivery time and costs
We currently deliver within Australia. Standard shipping is free and the estimated transit time after dispatch is 8–14 business days. Processing time and transit time are separate. Delivery estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by carrier delays, severe weather, public holidays or other circumstances outside our control.
We do not currently offer international shipping. Customs duties and import charges therefore do not normally apply to orders delivered within Australia.
Tracking
When your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to become active.
Incorrect delivery address
Please check your delivery details before completing your order. If you notice an error, email info.lubeko@gmail.com as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been processed or dispatched. Additional carrier charges caused by an incorrect address may be passed on to the customer where appropriate.
Delayed or missing parcels
If tracking has not updated for several business days or your parcel is overdue, contact us with your order number. We will review the tracking information and, where necessary, open an investigation with the carrier. Please also check that the delivery address is correct and ask household members or neighbours whether they accepted the parcel.
