Your shoes didn't cause your foot pain — the lack of proper support inside them did. Solace Orthopedic Insoles bring podiatrist-grade support into any shoe you already own, transforming everyday footwear into pain-relieving, posture-correcting tools.
- ✔Deep heel cup with stabiliser — the heel cup cradles and stabilises the calcaneus (heel bone) in its neutral position, preventing the inward roll (overpronation) that transfers strain through the ankle, knee, hip and lower back with every step
- ✔Anatomical arch support — the medial arch support follows the exact curve of the natural foot arch; the three-point ground contact principle distributes body weight evenly across heel, midfoot and metatarsal heads
- ✔Metatarsal pad for forefoot relief — a raised metatarsal pad relieves pressure on the metatarsal bones at the ball of the foot; directly targets the burning, aching sensation associated with metatarsalgia and Morton's neuroma
- ✔Dual-density construction — a firm orthopedic base layer provides structural support while a softer comfort layer sits above for cushioning; the combination provides both correction and cushioning simultaneously
- ✔Moisture-wicking top cover — the antimicrobial, moisture-wicking fabric top cover keeps the foot dry, reduces friction and prevents the odour buildup that occurs with standard shoe insoles during extended wear
- ✔Universal trim-to-fit design — supplied oversized with trim lines; cut to your exact shoe size with scissors and transfer between different pairs of shoes; one pair of Solace insoles works across multiple footwear types
- ✔Compatible with most shoe types — the slim profile fits into trainers, lace-up shoes, dress shoes, work boots and court shoes; the trim-to-fit design accommodates different shoe lasts and internal shapes
Are these suitable for plantar fasciitis?
Yes. The heel cup and medial arch support combination is the standard podiatric approach to plantar fasciitis management. The heel cup reduces tension on the plantar fascia insertion point by stabilising the heel. The arch support prevents midfoot collapse that elongates and stresses the fascia with every step. Many customers with diagnosed plantar fasciitis report significant pain reduction within 5–10 days of consistent daily use.
Will they fit in my shoes?
Yes, in most cases. The trim-to-fit design means you cut the insole to match your exact shoe size, ensuring a proper fit regardless of shoe shape. Remove the existing insole from your shoe before inserting — most shoes have a removable factory insole. The Solace insole replaces it, not stacks on top. If your shoes do not have a removable insole, size down to the smallest trim line for that shoe size. Contact our team if you need sizing guidance.
How are these different from custom orthotics?
Custom orthotics are prescribed and manufactured to an individual's specific foot measurements and gait analysis — they cost $400–$800 and take weeks to make. Solace Orthopedic Insoles use the same orthopedic design principles (heel cup, arch support, metatarsal pad) in a universal design that addresses the most common foot alignment issues. For many people with everyday foot pain, Solace provides equivalent relief at a fraction of the cost. Severe or unusual foot conditions may require custom orthotics.
Can I transfer them between different shoes?
Yes. The trim-to-fit design means one pair of Solace insoles can be cut to fit multiple shoe sizes and transferred between different pairs. Many customers trim one insole for their work shoes and keep a second pair for their trainers. If moving between shoes with very different internal shapes (e.g., a narrow dress shoe vs. a wide trainer), you may need a separate pair for each shoe type.
How long do they last?
The orthopedic base layer maintains its structural integrity for 6–12 months of daily use. The comfort layer and top cover may show wear earlier — the top cover can be spot-cleaned to extend its life. For heavy daily users (8+ hours, hard floors), replacement every 6 months is recommended to maintain optimal support. For moderate daily use, most customers report full effectiveness for 12 months or more.
